The role in focus is a Night Shift Hotel Supervisor, responsible for managing hotel departments and overseeing hotel operations during the night shift. Offering an annual compensation range from $66,300 to $70,000, this full-time position requires a hands-on approach to supervising associates, ensuring brand standards are upheld, and delivering outstanding guest services. The supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of hotel services overnight, managing staff schedules, coaching team members, and directly addressing guest concerns. This position demands leadership skills and a proactive commitment to quality control, from performing walk-throughs of public areas and guest rooms to monitoring operational issues.

The hotel supervisor must also ensure adherence to established operational procedures, including managing property accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, house bank audits, petty cash, and tax. They support sales initiatives by collaborating with sales staff to improve occupancy and revenue, maintain front office system efficiency, and oversee food and beverage program operations. The role is integral to achieving high guest satisfaction scores, fostering positive communication across departments, and promoting sustainability through the companys EarthView program.   • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous front office experience in a supervisory or management capacity in a mid-scale or luxury property is required
  • Customer service and general computer experience required
  • Property management software experience required

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Oversee hotel departments to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and brand standards and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, associates and other departments
  • Monitor and support the brand loyalty program plus all food and beverage programs
  • Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guest rooms to ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
  • Monitor proper operation of the P.B.X. console and ensure that employees maintain brand’s standard operating procedure in its use
