The Night Manager role at Houchens Food Group is a vital position responsible for overseeing store operations during the night shift. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Night Manager monitors competitor activities, pricing, and tactics, communicating relevant information to the Store Manager to support strategic decision-making. The role includes administrative duties such as attending meetings, contributing to company strategy, establishing daily work priorities for store employees, and handling truck deliveries. The position demands physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more, as well as performing basic housekeeping tasks using available equipment.

  • Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making
  • Establish daily work assignments and priorities for store employees
  • Receive and unload truck deliveries using available equipment
  • Conduct store closing procedures
