The Night Manager role at Houchens Food Group is a vital position responsible for overseeing store operations during the night shift. The role includes administrative duties such as attending meetings, contributing to company strategy, establishing daily work priorities for store employees, and handling truck deliveries. The position demands physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally more, as well as performing basic housekeeping tasks using available equipment.

Job Duties

- Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures on premises
- Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities, and staff and customer awareness
- Seek and develop knowledge about competitor activity, pricing, and tactics and communicate to Store Manager
- Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making
- Establish daily work assignments and priorities for store employees
- Receive and unload truck deliveries using available equipment
- Conduct store closing procedures
