  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and night audit procedures
  • Proficient in operating PBX telephone systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • Greet arriving guests and complete established check-in procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Facilitate guest departures by following procedures to close accounts and determine room availability
  • Calculate and post monies, receipts and guest accounts using proper cash handling methods
  • Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and over the phone using reservation guidelines
  • Maintain good guest relations by being knowledgeable about in-house and area functions
  • Operate PBX equipment to handle incoming and outgoing calls and set wake-up calls
  • Control and balance cash and credit transactions and maintain personal bank responsibility
  • Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced nightly
  • Process guest mail, messages and faxes by receiving, sorting and distributing them
  • Maintain department and front desk logbooks to enhance communication and operations
  • Provide assistance to team members and departments as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
