The part-time Night Auditor/Shuttle Driver position is a unique dual role designed to support the hotel's overnight operations and guest transportation needs. The Night Auditor is entrusted with maintaining accurate and balanced accounting of daily hotel revenues, overseeing customer accounts, and ensuring all financial records reconcile by the start of the next business day. In addition, this individual acts as the overnight Manager-on-Duty, embodying strong leadership and communication skills to manage hotel services efficiently during nighttime hours. The Shuttle Driver aspect of the role focuses on safely transporting guests between the hotel and airport or other designated locations with the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and adherence to traffic laws. This role requires working Sunday and Monday nights from 11 pm to 7 am, with an enticing benefit of daily pay access—allowing employees to access up to 50 percent of their earned wages after every shift. This schedule suits individuals seeking part-time evening work and a dynamic environment that involves both front-office accounting tasks and guest service through driving responsibilities. Overall, this position is critical in promoting guest satisfaction, operational accuracy, and the positive reputation of the hotel in the competitive hospitality market.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a hotel night auditor
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent math and reconciliation skills
  • Experience using hotel reservation system such as FOSSE or OnQ is a plus
  • Organization skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have an acceptable driving record, with at least three years driving experience on a full license
  • Must be able to handle guest luggage in loading and unloading hotel vehicle

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Meet and exceed customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork
  • Verify and balance daily charges for all departments to customer folios, master accounts and house accounts
  • Run computer through nightly processing sequence to reset for next day’s use in balancing of applicable functions
  • Audit food and beverage income posting and charges if applicable
  • Audit room revenue and other income
  • Review all credit card vouchers for proper imprints, authorizations, and correct amounts
  • Process all city ledger work to accounting
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Perform night clerk duties as Guest Service Representative in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
  • Perform such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or General Manager
  • Achieve required threshold scores according to brand and company inspections
  • Greet customers in a welcoming and friendly manner
  • Comprehend and abide by all traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport or other designated site
  • Remain calm and alert at all times while operating vehicle, especially in high traffic areas
  • Lift luggage, packages and boxes from cars, vans, and carts, placing items on the ground, onto baggage carts, or conveyors
