The Westin Buffalo is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-service-focused Night Auditor to join their team. This position can be full-time or part-time and offers an hourly wage of $19.00 to $21.00. The Night Auditor role is essential for ensuring smooth operations during the overnight shift, combining front desk responsibilities with financial auditing tasks. In this fast-paced environment, the Night Auditor will play a crucial role in reconciling credit card payments, inputting daily sales, managing guest folios, and explaining billing to guests. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential financial information accurately. The Night Auditor will also be responsible for checking guests in and out efficiently, quoting room rates, posting charges for in-house accounts, and closing shifts securely with proper cash handling procedures. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to communicate with guests and team members
  • Ability to handle long-term standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting items up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cash handling
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment is beneficial
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills for accurate money handling and change counting
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel

Job Duties

  • Run the night audit function, reconcile credit card payments, input sales and manual sales sheets, understand the guest folio, explain billing, and make corrections as needed
  • Review pending advance deposits and charges, check guests in and out efficiently
  • Quote room rates and room package information, post charges for in-house accounts
  • Complete shift closing, drop cash and check payments, secure the bank at all times, and follow proper cash handling policies
  • Perform cash handling and maintain accurate paperwork related to front office operations
  • Check and balance daily figures, post room and tax charges on guest accounts
  • Drive a company vehicle to assist with valet and shuttle parking as needed
