Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 1 year previous front desk or night audit experience
- advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office
- hospitality service orientation
- ability to work under pressure and multitask
- must be energetic, outgoing, and service oriented
- accurate data entry skills
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- ability to communicate effectively
- adherence to payroll policies and company conduct rules
- understanding of company safety and security procedures
- willingness to travel as needed
- availability to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- prior experience in front desk or night audit roles
- proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- basic Excel and typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
- professional communication skills
- hospitality-oriented with ability to work under pressure
- multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
- excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- basic knowledge of arithmetic
- working knowledge of OPERA or similar hotel management systems
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Job Duties
- Register guests and modify reservations
- assist with hotel operator and concierge duties
- maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and promotions
- anticipate guest needs and maintain positive relations
- process guest check-in and check-out, including financial transactions
- maintain guest history and accurate accounts
- manage overbooked or walked guests and provide room changes
- document guest requests and resolve complaints
- maintain organized work area and ensure security of assigned bank
- communicate with prior shifts and answer department telephone
- produce end of day reports
