Job Description

HHM Hotels is a well-established hospitality company committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality service and a welcoming environment. Specializing in hotel accommodations, HHM Hotels operates with a focus on guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and fostering a positive work culture for its employees. The company offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, competitive wages, and comprehensive benefits. Known for its dedication to employee growth and development, HHM Hotels provides a range of career advancement paths within its dynamic front office and accounting departments.

The Night Auditor role at HHM Hotels is a vital position that combines accounting responsibilities with guest service tasks to ensure smooth overnight operations. This role requires balancing revenue, settling accounts nightly, maintaining accurate files, and resetting the system for the following day. The Night Auditor also performs essential Guest Service Agent duties such as checking guests in and out, responding to inquiries, and resolving complaints, all while maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This hybrid role demands a keen eye for detail, proficiency in bookkeeping, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage financial auditing alongside face-to-face guest interactions.

As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting nightly audits, balancing accounts, and preparing daily financial reports that ensure accuracy and transparency in hotel operations. You will closely monitor room availability and guest accounts, using both manual records and computerized systems such as the BRAINS network to input and update financial data. Part of your role includes auditing and reconciling cashiers and credit card transactions to guarantee compliance with financial policies and timely transmissions of credit card data.

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by being vigilant about guest satisfaction scores and proactively contributing to their improvement. Safety is also a key focus, requiring the practice of safe work habits and adherence to protective safety equipment protocols. The role offers a clear growth path, with opportunities to advance to positions such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and eventually Front Office Manager, making it an ideal entry point for a long-term career in hospitality management and hotel operations.

This position demands a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves physical activities such as standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting weights up to 25 pounds. The company’s philosophy centers on "People Are Our Capability - Hearts That Serve - Only Excellence - Stay Nimble - Own It," reflecting a commitment to service excellence, agility, and ownership. By joining HHM Hotels as a Night Auditor, you will contribute to a company culture that values teamwork, continuous improvement, and outstanding guest experiences, while gaining valuable professional skills in a supportive environment.
