The Night Auditor position at HHM Hotels is a critical role responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the hotel's financial records while providing excellent guest services during overnight hours. This role combines accounting duties such as balancing nightly revenues, auditing accounts, and preparing financial reports with operational guest service tasks including check-in/out and addressing guest inquiries and concerns. The Night Auditor works to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled, cashiers' accounts are balanced, and credit card transactions are consolidated and transmitted timely. Additionally, they utilize software systems to update and input financial and guest information into the BRAINS network.

Job Duties

  • Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits
  • keep records of room availability and guests' accounts manually or using computers
  • prepare and distribute daily reports
  • audit and reconcile cashiers
  • audit reconcile consolidate and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis
  • input and update financial information into the BRAINS network
  • check guests in/out and perform Guest Service Agent tasks
  • respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • perform other duties as requested by management
