With a strong focus on cultivating a supportive and dynamic work environment, HHM Hotels offers opportunities for career growth and professional development within the hotel industry. This employer is dedicated to fostering a culture where employees feel valued and empowered to deliver outstanding service to guests, ensuring memorable stays and high satisfaction scores. Recognized for competitive wages and comprehensive benefits, HHM Hotels is committed to attracting and retaining quality talent who align with its core values of capability, service, excellence, agility, and accountability.
The Night Auditor role at HHM Hotels is a critical position blending accounting accuracy with exemplary guest services. This role is primarily responsible for balancing revenue and settling accounts each night, performing essential bookkeeping activities like nightly audits and account balancing. The Night Auditor maintains accurate and organized records of room availability and guest accounts, either manually or through computer systems such as the BRAINS network. A vital part of the role involves generating and distributing daily financial and operational reports, auditing and reconciling cashiers, consolidating credit card transactions, and ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and transmitted in a timely manner.
In addition to financial duties, the Night Auditor also fulfills guest service functions, including checking guests in and out, addressing inquiries or concerns professionally, and striving to enhance guest satisfaction scores for both the department and the hotel overall. As a front-line representative during overnight shifts, the Night Auditor upholds safety standards and practices within the workplace while maintaining a positive guest experience.
This full-time opportunity within HHM Hotels comes with a supportive work environment that encourages growth into supervisory or managerial roles such as Front Office Supervisor, Front Office Manager, or clerical positions in accounts payable or receivable. The role demands strong computer proficiency, especially with Excel and accounting arithmetic skills, and familiarity with hotel operations. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and prior experience in night auditing or related accounting work is required. The ability to obtain Food Services Director (FSD) certification within 90 days of employment is considered an asset.
HHM Hotels offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive wages, medical, dental, and vision health insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, daily pay options, free basic life insurance, 24/7 confidential work-life resources via TELUS Health, travel discounts, commuter benefits, employee assistance and wellness programs, educational and professional development opportunities, as well as a referral bonus program. The work schedule may vary, including holiday and weekend shifts, and requires physical activity such as standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. Prospective candidates who embody the core values of HHM Hotels and are eager to contribute to an excellent guest experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
