Job Description

HHM Hotels is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences through quality accommodations and outstanding customer service. With a strong presence in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels prides itself on fostering a positive work environment and offering growth opportunities to its employees. The company emphasizes a culture built on its core beliefs: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. This philosophy drives the team to maintain superior standards in every aspect of their operations, ensuring guests receive impeccable service from check-in to check-out and beyond.

The role of Night Auditor at HHM Hotels is a pivotal position within the Front Office team, blending financial accuracy with guest service excellence. This position is responsible for balancing revenue and settling accounts at the end of each day while performing critical Guest Service Agent tasks. The Night Auditor ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, audits cashiers, reconciles credit card transactions, and prepares daily reports that provide comprehensive insights into the hotel's daily operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently manage bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts, conducting nightly audits, inputting financial data into the BRAINS network, and maintaining precise records of room availability and guest accounts.

In addition to financial duties, the Night Auditor also plays an important role in guest relations by checking guests in and out, responding to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and contributing to the overall guest satisfaction scores for the property. The Night Auditor must maintain a keen awareness of guest needs and work proactively to enhance the guest experience, helping HHM Hotels uphold its commitment to excellence. Safety is also a key aspect of this role, as the Night Auditor is expected to practice safe work habits and utilize protective safety equipment where applicable.

This position offers a clear growth path within HHM Hotels, providing opportunities to advance to roles such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and eventually Front Office Manager. The Night Auditor role is ideal for professionals seeking to develop their hospitality accounting skills while maintaining direct engagement with guests and hotel operations. HHM Hotels values employees who demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a dedication to continuous improvement, making this an excellent career opportunity for those looking to thrive in the hospitality sector.

Employees of HHM Hotels enjoy competitive wages and a variety of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k company match, daily pay options, free basic life insurance, access to confidential health and wellness resources via TELUS Health, travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance programs, educational and professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus program. The work environment may require employees to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends and involves physical activities such as standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. HHM Hotels is committed to ensuring a supportive workplace where individuals can grow their careers while contributing to the company’s mission of delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
