With a reputation for excellence and innovation, the company embraces a dynamic work culture emphasizing respect, professionalism, and continuous growth opportunities for its employees. HHM Hotels invests in training and development programs designed to empower staff and enhance the overall guest experience.
The role of Night Auditor and Guest Service Agent at HHM Hotels is critical to the smooth operation of the front office and overall financial integrity of the hotel during overnight hours. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00 and is responsible for balancing daily revenue, settling accounts, maintaining meticulous records, and preparing the system for the following day's operations, all while performing guest service duties. The position plays a key part in ensuring the guest experience is positive and seamless, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, resolving inquiries and complaints, and supporting the hotel's revenue management processes through accurate audits and reporting. This role provides an excellent growth path toward supervisory and managerial opportunities such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and eventually Front Office Manager.
As a Night Auditor and Guest Service Agent, you will perform bookkeeping activities that include balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits to reconcile transactions with accuracy. You will maintain detailed records of room availability and guest accounts, either manually or through specialized computer software. Your responsibility extends to preparing and distributing daily reports that provide insights into financial and operational performance. Additionally, auditing and reconciling cashier transactions and credit card operations in a timely manner are essential tasks for maintaining financial control and compliance. You will be expected to input and update financial information into the BRAINS network system, ensuring data integrity and availability for decision-makers.
Throughout your shift, you will interact regularly with guests, overseeing check-in and check-out procedures, providing exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest inquiries, and resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner. Maintaining awareness of guest satisfaction scores and actively working towards elevating these metrics within the department and across the hotel is a priority. Safety is paramount, so you will be required to practice safe work habits and utilize protective equipment as necessary. Flexibility and willingness to carry out additional duties as requested by management underpin the importance of teamwork and adaptability within this role. HHM Hotels fosters a supportive work environment that recognizes the value of people, the importance of service with heart, and a commitment to excellence, agility, and ownership in all aspects of operations.
