The organization places a high value on creating a supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and advance their careers through clearly defined growth paths.
The role being offered is that of a Night Auditor combined with Guest Service Agent duties, a key position within the Front Office team. This multifaceted role plays a crucial part in ensuring the hotel’s financial records are accurate and complete by balancing revenue and settling accounts nightly. The Night Auditor oversees bookkeeping activities including conducting nightly audits, auditing and reconciling cashiers, as well as consolidating and transmitting credit card transactions efficiently and accurately each day. In addition to financial responsibilities, the position involves performing typical Guest Service Agent tasks such as checking guests in and out, responding to inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
This full-time position offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, emphasizing both employee well-being and career development. Employees in this role are also responsible for maintaining records of room availability and updating financial information in the hotel’s BRAINS system network. Daily reporting falls within the purview of this role, requiring meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills. Since the role operates during the night shift, candidates should be prepared for variable working hours that may include holidays and weekends.
Working at HHM Hotels means becoming part of a team that believes in its guiding values: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. These principles emphasize the importance of personalized service, continuous improvement, and accountability. Employees are encouraged to practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment as standard procedure, fostering a secure and supportive environment.
Career progression for someone in this role includes opportunities to advance to Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and ultimately Front Office Manager, highlighting the company’s commitment to internal professional development. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, prior night audit or accounting experience, computer proficiency including Excel, and strong arithmetic skills will find themselves well-suited for success. Additionally, the company encourages obtaining Food Safety Director (FSD) certification within 90 days to enhance service quality and compliance.
Overall, the Night Auditor & Guest Service Agent at HHM Hotels is a pivotal position that ensures financial integrity, enhances guest experience, and contributes to the smooth operation of the hotel. It is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a rewarding career within the hospitality industry, underpinned by excellent benefits and a supportive workplace culture.
