Job Description

The Jasper Hotel, located in Fargo, North Dakota, is a distinguished establishment defined by its soulful, sophisticated, and avant-garde approach to hospitality. Known as Fargo's social hub, the hotel brings together cultured locals and modern travelers, creating a dynamic intersection of luxury and community. The Jasper Hotel features 125 rooms, 6,000 square feet of flexible event space, and notable dining options such as the Rosewild Restaurant, a signature lobby lounge, and a café. As a new build, it prides itself on redefining hotel luxury in North Dakota, emphasizing the power of People, Place, and Character. This dedication ensures that each property is a tribute to the communities and neighborhoods they serve, fostering a sense of pride and belonging for both guests and associates.

The role of Guest Services Ambassador-Overnight / Night Audit at the Jasper Hotel is an unparalleled opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality. Unlike traditional front desk roles, this position is designed for dynamic ambassadors who own the guest experience and ensure every need and opportunity to make a guest's visit special is addressed with care and attention to detail. The Overnight Ambassador acts as an exquisite host and a knowledgeable guide, adept in hotel operations as well as the local community surrounding Fargo. This role requires a warm and gracious demeanor that makes every guest feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step into the hotel lobby.

Scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 7 AM, this role comprises 24 hours per week, blending the responsibilities of a night auditor with personalized guest services. The Ambassador is charged with completing night audit procedures using the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, handling detailed balancing tasks such as reconciling room inventories and generating critical reports. Beyond administrative duties, this role demands a dedication to creating one-of-a-kind guest experiences—from arranging special requests like surprise proposals to suggesting local experiences, and ensuring seamless arrivals and departures.

The Ambassador embodies the brand’s spirit by displaying professionalism, discretion, and a calm, engaging presence throughout all guest interactions. The role also includes flexibility and multitasking; Ambassadors may serve as bellmen, valets, or greeters as needed, ensuring that guests receive personalized attention around the clock. Mastery of hotel systems and communication channels is essential to maintaining accurate information and effective guest communication at every stage of their stay. The Jasper Hotel expects the Overnight Ambassador to proactively solve guest concerns, collaborate with other departments, and continuously seek opportunities to exceed expectations. Working for Aparium Hospitality Services, this position offers a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equitable practices, welcoming individuals who value authenticity, creativity, and hospitality excellence.
