Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience with accounting principles
  • prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am
  • proficiency in keyboarding and computer technology, including email, MS Word, Excel, and hotel-related systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • high attention to detail
  • ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • willingness to cross train in accounting or hotel-related areas

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience of accounting principles
  • prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent work experience

Job Duties

  • Work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
  • be willing to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
  • perform guest services functions such as check guests in and out, take reservations, and wake-up calls
  • audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
  • prepare and distribute daily reports according to hotel standards such as Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, and Tax Reports
  • prepare and distribute month-end reports
  • audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis
  • prioritize job functions to meet deadlines
  • perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required
  • keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events and deviations of policies or procedures
  • respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt
