Job Description
Quechan Casino Resort is a renowned casino hotel located on the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation in Winterhaven, California. Established as a premier gaming and hospitality destination, this resort blends the excitement of casino gaming with comfortable accommodations and exceptional customer service. Known for its scenic desert views and proximity to the Colorado River, Quechan Casino Resort offers a vibrant atmosphere where guests can enjoy a variety of slot machines, table games, and delicious dining options. The resort emphasizes a commitment to quality service, hospitality excellence, and an authentic cultural experience reflecting the Quechan Tribe heritage. It serves a diverse clientele ranging from casual visitors to dedicated gaming enthusiasts, all seeking an engaging and memorable stay.
The Night Auditor position at Quechan Casino Resort is a critical overnight role that combines both front desk operations and financial accounting duties. This position requires a reliable, detail-oriented individual who can efficiently handle guest service requests while ensuring that the hotel’s financial transactions and records are accurate and up to date. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, the Night Auditor’s responsibilities include checking daily office accounting records for accuracy, summarizing financial information, and preparing reports that contribute to the hotel's overall financial health. This role demands a keen understanding of cash handling procedures and accounting principles tailored to the hospitality industry.
Working during the overnight shift, the Night Auditor ensures seamless guest service continuity during quieter hours, providing check-in and check-out services, responding to guest inquiries, and managing any issues that arise. This position is essential for maintaining operational integrity and financial accountability, making it pivotal to the resort’s success in managing its complex casino hotel environment. Candidates applying for this role should have at least a high school diploma or GED and experience in front desk hotel operations, as well as familiarity with cash handling and accounting procedures. Additionally, this position requires passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, ongoing random drug testing, background investigations, and the ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license in California if applicable. Preference is given to Native American candidates or those with experience related to Native American culture and governance, aligning with the resort’s cultural values and staffing priorities. The Night Auditor role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team committed to hospitality excellence and cultural respect within a thriving casino resort setting.
