Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • computer knowledge and skills
  • flexible to work long and late hours including overnight shifts
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize

  • maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work independently
  • attend scheduled meetings and trainings
  • maintain personal appearance and grooming standards
  • comply with hotel policies and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • guest service experience preferred
  • computer knowledge and skills required
  • flexible and able to work long hours sometimes
  • able to work a late/overnight shift
  • maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • effective communication skills both verbal and written with all levels of employees and guests
  • effective listening and problem clarification skills
  • able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing the proper uniform and nametag
  • comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • effective at handling and solving problems
  • able to understand and apply complex information from various sources
  • ability to cross-train in other hotel-related areas
  • maintain confidentiality of information
  • show initiative including anticipating guest or operational needs
  • perform other duties as requested by management

Job Duties

  • work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
  • be willing to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
  • prioritize job functions to meet deadlines
  • perform guest service functions such as check guests in/out take reservations and wake-up calls
  • audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
  • prepare and distribute necessary daily reports such as daily operating report discount programs tax reports according to hotel standards
  • audit and reconcile all front desk and food and beverage cashier's work
