This role is vital as it ensures seamless hotel operations throughout the overnight shift and combines responsibilities from guest service and front desk operations to financial auditing and reporting. The Night Auditor acts as the face of the hotel during the overnight hours, greeting and assisting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and providing attentive service to ensure that guest needs are met promptly and courteously. Beyond guest interaction, this position requires meticulous attention to detail in balancing and verifying the day's financial transactions to maintain accurate hotel accounting records. Successful candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Their role also includes upholding the Hampton Inn brand standards, monitoring hotel safety and security throughout the night, performing routine checks within the property, and supporting operational tasks such as preparing the breakfast area for the morning shift and assisting other departments as necessary. The ideal Night Auditor will have strong communication skills, experience in customer service or hospitality—preferably with night auditing—and comfort working with hotel property management systems like ONQ or similar software. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or customer service roles preferred

Job Duties
- Greet, check-in, and check-out guests in accordance with Hampton brand standards
- Provide exceptional service by responding promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours, including routine property walks
- Manage incoming calls, reservations, wake-up calls, and guest messages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and front desk area
- Complete nightly audit tasks, including balancing revenue and verifying daily transactions
- Run and review audit reports, identify discrepancies, and correct errors
- Post room and tax charges, adjustments, and payments accurately
- Prepare and distribute daily management reports
- Ensure compliance with Hampton Inn brand standards, accounting policies, and internal controls
- Prepare breakfast area setup for morning shift as needed
- Support other departments by communicating any issues from the overnight shift
- Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures
- Assist with inventory of front desk supplies when required
