Job Description

As a Night Auditor, you are the starting point of a memorable guest experience, responsible for setting the tone of hospitality during the night hours. Your role involves welcoming guests warmly and ensuring their check-in and checkout processes are smooth and efficient. You will be instrumental in creating a lasting impression through personalized interactions, thoughtful guest room selections, and a thorough understanding of hotel services, facilities, and programs. The position requires balancing managerial and administrative tasks with guest service duties. You will handle reservation inquiries, provide concierge services, collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage teams to fulfill guest requests swiftly, and manage financial processes such as balancing accounts, processing transactions, and closing daily sales. Your role as a Night Auditor ensures accuracy and efficiency in nightly auditing responsibilities, including transmission of credit card batches and verification of financial records. The position demands high attention to detail, conflict resolution abilities, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Physical stamina and the ability to remain active during long shifts are essential, as you will often stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as delivering requested guest items and assisting in other hotel departments when needed. Flexibility is key, with required availability on weekends and holidays and the possibility of stepping in as Manager On Duty. Job Requirements

  • Open availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
  • Must have the ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for the full day
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates
  • Serves as Manager On Duty when required
  • Works in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations
  • Informs immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
  • Advanced working knowledge of property management software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of switchboard and telephone etiquette
  • Projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational and guest service skills required
  • Advanced working knowledge of property management software systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of switchboard and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with co-workers
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred

Job Duties

  • Participates in the prompt and courteous check in and checkout of guests
  • Provide gracious and efficient telephone service as it relates to general PBX calls
  • Calls should be answered promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services, facilities and programs of the hotel and effectively assists the hotel’s guests
  • Responds to guests’ requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously
  • Communicates effectively
  • Arranges fulfillment of guest services by working with housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage where applicable
