Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge or experience of accounting principles
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work overnight shifts from 10pm to 6am or 11pm to 7am
- Ability to walk, stand, and key data for extended periods
- Willingness to cross train in related accounting or hotel areas
- Ability to maintain composure and attention to detail under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience of accounting principles
- Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to provide high level customer service
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficiency in keyboarding and computer technology, including email, MS Word, Excel, and other hotel-related systems
- Aptitude with numbers and data analysis
Job Duties
- Work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Be willing to cross train in other accounting or hotel-related areas
- Perform guest services functions such as check guests in/out, take reservations, wake-up calls, etc.
- Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports
- Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports according to hotel standards
- Prepare and distribute month-end reports
- Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis
- Prioritize job functions to meet deadlines
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required
- Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events or deviations of policies or procedures
- Respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt
