Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or audit role preferred
  • Ability to process financial transactions accurately
  • Proficient in phone system operation
  • Ability to handle guest reservations and inquiries
  • Must be able to work overnight shifts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of hotel security protocols
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing principles

Job Duties

  • Verify each front desk shift's transactions
  • Process credit card transactions
  • Post tax charges to all guest folios
  • Finalize transactions completed during the day
  • Create and/or print required reports
  • File or transmit reports as directed
  • Prepare folios for departing guests
  • Handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, and take messages
  • Take, modify and cancel guest reservations
  • Verify, balance and review hotel suite availability
  • Check in/out guests
  • Perform express checkout duties
  • Post telephone and miscellaneous charges to guest accounts
  • Administer guest payment policies
  • Responsible for shift cash transactions
  • Maintain hotel key security system
  • Administer guest safe deposit boxes
  • Know hotel emergency procedures
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
  • Communicate facilities and services at check-in
  • Notify housekeeping and maintenance of reported problems
  • Carry out management requests capable of being performed
