Job Description

The Seattle Times is a well-established and respected newspaper company serving the Greater Seattle Area. Renowned for its commitment to delivering quality news every day of the year, The Seattle Times is an integral part of the local community. With a strong focus on providing reliable and timely news coverage, the company has built a loyal subscriber base that depends on daily newspaper delivery, regardless of weather conditions such as rain, sleet, or snow.

Currently, The Seattle Times is seeking reliable and dedicated Independent Contractors to join their team as newspaper delivery drivers. This opportunity offers individuals the chance to work as their own boss, managing their routes and schedules independently while benefiting from a steady income stream. Independent Contractors have the flexibility to personally perform deliveries or hire subcontractors for assistance, ensuring that customers consistently receive their papers on time. The role entails delivering newspapers in the early morning hours, typically between 2:30 AM and 5:30 AM, across various routes within the Seattle metropolitan area.

Contractors are compensated twice a month, with potential gross revenue ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 per month plus the opportunity to earn additional tips. The more routes and papers delivered punctually, the greater the earning potential. This position is ideal for someone seeking extra income, flexible part-time hours, and the independence of managing their own business operations without micro-managers. A valid Washington state driver's license and automobile insurance are required for motor route deliveries, and a reliable vehicle is essential for timely service. The role demands strong customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding subscriber expectations by providing excellent delivery service every single day of the year.

Overall, this role offers a unique entrepreneurial opportunity for individuals motivated by self-management and service excellence. Candidates will enjoy the freedom of scheduling their work, direct engagement with customers, and the potential for consistent earnings supplemented with tips. If you are looking for a part-time contract position that combines independence, responsibility, and reward, consider joining The Seattle Times as a newspaper delivery Independent Contractor today.
