Job Description

The Sunny is an exciting new oceanfront hotel located in the vibrant area of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. This recently transformed property stands where the historic Newport Beachside Hotel once graced the coast, now reborn as a modern beachfront destination. Family-owned through three generations, it carries on a rich legacy of hospitality along one of South Florida's most iconic beachfronts. The 340-room hotel offers a sophisticated blend of design, comfort, and luxury, creating a memorable guest experience enhanced by a captivating food and beverage scene. This includes a variety of dining concepts and a series of lively social spaces that cater not only to visitors but also to the local community, making it a social hub and a standout resort in the region.

Julene, the hotel’s signature restaurant, epitomizes the fresh and engaging culinary vision of The Sunny. This refined yet approachable American restaurant aims to be a cornerstone of the hotel’s dining program and a beloved neighborhood gathering spot. With a focus on familiar, crave-worthy American dishes executed with precision and care, Julene embodies a welcoming and lively atmosphere suitable for both hotel guests and Miami locals. The restaurant is designed to foster a communal dining experience where guests come to enjoy great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting that feels both vibrant and intimate.

The role of Restaurant Bartender at Julene is an integral part of the opening team at The Sunny Hotel. This position is ideal for a skilled and personable bartending professional who thrives in a dynamic, guest-centric environment. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages with promptness, courtesy, and in adherence to high-standard procedures. The position demands not only technical competence in drink preparation but also a genuine passion for customer service and the ability to promote drink specials effectively. Proper inventory management, portion control, and observance of all liquor laws and safety regulations are critical to this role.

As a Bartender on the opening team, the individual will engage directly with guests to create memorable beverage experiences, enhancing the overall quality of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. This opportunity comes with the chance to work in a state-of-the-art property anchored by a dedicated and supportive management team under Davidson Hospitality Group, known for its award-winning operations in the hospitality sector. Davidson offers employees a comprehensive benefits package aimed at personal well-being and professional growth.

Joining The Sunny as a Restaurant Bartender provides significant exposure to a top-tier hospitality environment where excellent service, teamwork, and community involvement are highly valued. The role encompasses more than just mixing drinks; it involves contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that defines both The Sunny Hotel and Julene restaurant. Bartenders are expected to maintain a clean, organized workspace, collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff, handle cash and payment transactions accurately, and respond proactively to guest needs to ensure a seamless and inviting experience. This position suits professionals seeking to leverage their experience in bartending while growing within a prestigious and expanding hospitality group.
