- Ability to identify intoxicated patrons
Job Qualifications
- Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques such as the correct side to serve from and the correct side to remove from
- Knowledge of the composition of all food items on the menu whether American or foreign
- Knowledge of available beverages and wines including which wines complement specific meals and their proper serving temperatures
- Skill in proper table setting techniques
- Knowledge of simple math calculations in order to tabulate checks
- Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
- Apply proper food handling techniques including correct side to serve and remove dishes from
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items including American and foreign cuisines
- Identify appropriate beverage and wine pairings and serve them at correct temperatures
- Set tables properly according to standards
- Perform simple math calculations to tabulate checks
- Recognize intoxicated patrons and adhere to responsible alcohol service regulations
