  • Knowledge of proper food handling techniques
  • Understanding of menu compositions and beverage pairings
  • Skill in table setting
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to identify intoxicated patrons

Job Qualifications

  • Skill to serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
  • Knowledge of proper food handling techniques such as the correct side to serve from and the correct side to remove from
  • Knowledge of the composition of all food items on the menu whether American or foreign
  • Knowledge of available beverages and wines including which wines complement specific meals and their proper serving temperatures
  • Skill in proper table setting techniques
  • Knowledge of simple math calculations in order to tabulate checks
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated patrons when serving alcohol

Job Duties

  • Serve beverages and meals in the proper manner and sequence
  • Apply proper food handling techniques including correct side to serve and remove dishes from
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu items including American and foreign cuisines
  • Identify appropriate beverage and wine pairings and serve them at correct temperatures
  • Set tables properly according to standards
  • Perform simple math calculations to tabulate checks
  • Recognize intoxicated patrons and adhere to responsible alcohol service regulations
