proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
strong guest service and interpersonal skills
excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

experience as a sportsbook or mutuels writer/teller preferred
one year of guest service and cash or credit card processing experience preferred

Job Duties

Accurately write, verify, and issue payments for sports and horse racing wagers in compliance with company policies, state regulations, and federal gaming statutes
follow all procedures for the sale and payout of tickets
educate guests on wagering rules, procedures, betting lines, and odds
maintain and balance a cash bank throughout the shift, reconciling transactions at shift end
maintain work area cleanliness and ensure adequate inventory of supplies
address guest questions, concerns, or complaints, escalating as needed
maintain knowledge of sporting and horse racing events, property promotions, and offerings
