The Banquet Server role at The Henry Ford plays a critical part in delivering exceptional service within its spectacular event venues. This position requires individuals who are friendly, attentive, and committed to creating memorable experiences through professional banquet service. Banquet Servers are tasked with the setup, service, and teardown of banquet events, supporting the smooth operation of functions that may range from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. Key responsibilities include preparing and arranging event spaces, setting guest tables with appropriate linens and place settings, and handling the service of beverages and food with precision and hospitality. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Banquet or fine dining server experience required
- 18 years or older
Job Duties
- Prepares event space for service, including pulling, transporting, and placing of equipment
- Set guest tables appropriately with linen and place settings
- Make, set-up, and transport beverages for events as needed
- Prepares cocktails, pours and mixes drinks quickly and accurately in a customer service-oriented manner
- Serve appetizers, meals, and beverages professionally
- attend to buffets, clear tables, properly stack dishes and glassware on trays, and carry trays to breakdown area
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance of the event space (Guest tables, food stations, tray jacks, and back of house area)
- Acts as a team player and provides expertise within the team and with other teams as appropriate
