Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the restaurant industry
- At least 3-5 years of multi-unit management experience
- Proven leadership capabilities managing teams and multiple restaurant locations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a varied and rotating schedule including opening, peak, and closing shifts
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Ability to utilize company software tools such as MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Ability to handle financial analysis and operational decision-making
- High school diploma or equivalent, with preference for a degree in food service management or culinary arts
Job Qualifications
- Documented experience managing various restaurant types within a zone, including QSR, casual dining, full service, union and non-union establishments
- Minimum of 3 years concurrent multi-unit, multi-concept management experience for small zones, and 5 years for large zones
- Underlying overall restaurant experience of 8-10 years
- Graduation from a food service management or culinary program may substitute part of the experience requirement
- Demonstrated team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- Knowledge of HMSHost policies, product, service, quality, equipment, and operational standards or ability to learn quickly
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, policies, menus, and brand standards
Job Duties
- Ensure all restaurants within the assigned zone are prepared for next-day opening by holding GMs accountable for closing and opening checklist execution
- Schedule managers to maintain leadership coverage during all operational hours
- Provide consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Interview candidates and make hiring, termination, and promotion decisions for associates within the zone
- Hold GMs accountable for onboarding and offboarding processes and compliance with training and badging requirements
- Read and analyze financial and operational reports to monitor performance and assign staff accordingly
- Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate vision, goals, and strategic initiatives
- Support company recognition programs to motivate and reward staff
- Make purchasing decisions for repairs, maintenance, and supplies in coordination with branch leadership
- Monitor and maintain product availability, vendor relations, and restaurant equipment
- Promote brand standards, technology adoption, and conduct training activities
- Manage customer and employee relations, resolve issues, and provide feedback to subordinate leaders
- Implement marketing programs to drive revenue and comply with promotional activities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitary, and COVID-19 protocols across all restaurants
