Job Requirements

  • Minimum of eight to ten years restaurant experience with multi-unit management for at least three to five years
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in reading and understanding policy documents, menus, and brand standards
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and company correspondence
  • Flexibility to work varied and rotating schedules including opening, peak, and closing shifts
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to coach and develop staff
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards according to federal, state, and local laws

Job Qualifications

  • Documented multi-unit restaurant management experience for a minimum of three to five years depending on zone size
  • Overall restaurant experience of eight to ten years
  • Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for experience
  • Strong team management, delegation, and issue resolution skills
  • Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, quality, and operational standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with budget control and financial accountability

Job Duties

  • Ensure all general managers and staff prepare each restaurant for next-day opening by executing closing and opening checklists
  • Schedule and deploy managers to provide leadership during all operating hours
  • Support and coach restaurant staff to achieve business goals while promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Interview, hire, promote, and terminate associates within the zone and ensure compliance with badging and onboarding policies
  • Analyze financial and operational reports to monitor zone performance and assign associates accordingly
  • Collaborate regularly with senior operations leadership to communicate goals and address operational issues
  • Manage product availability, equipment maintenance, and supplier relations to ensure smooth restaurant operations
