Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- ability to stand for extended periods
- willingness to learn and follow safety and sanitation protocols
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
- must pass background check and drug screening if required
- certification required to operate forklift or baler
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or grocery store experience beneficial but not required
- strong customer service skills
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- basic math and inventory skills
- physical ability to lift and move stock

- basic equipment operation skills for relevant department
Job Duties
- promote sales within assigned department
- answer customers' questions
- respond to customer requests for products
- accurately place special orders
- practice safe food handling procedures
- maintain clean and safe work area
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment and quality
- stock, rotate, and merchandise product to maintain freshness and department appeal
- operate checkstand according to company policies
- memorize PLU codes
- order, receive, unload, stock, and rotate products in center store
- merchandise product and perform POS and inventory activities
- trim, wash, and wrap produce
- maintain floral area
- weigh, wrap, package, and label meat, seafood, baked goods, and deli products
- provide customer service at product counters
- take special orders for custom meat cuts and party trays
- operate equipment such as slicers, ovens, proofers, and mixers
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store
- sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas
- clean restrooms, break rooms, office areas, shelving, and equipment
- operate janitorial equipment such as scrubbers and buffers
- operate forklift and baler if authorized and certified
- perform other duties as assigned
