Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • ability to work with urgency and self-motivation

  • high school diploma or GED or additional job experience
  • six months related experience
  • availability to work varied retail hours
  • physical ability to stand frequently and lift up to 40 lbs without assistance

Job Duties

  • Operate the checkstand according to company policy
  • memorize PLU codes and stay updated with new products
  • order, receive, unload, stock, and rotate products
  • merchandise products and perform Point-Of-Sale and inventory activities
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy and quality
  • trim, wash, and wrap produce
  • maintain floral areas and clean all departmental equipment
  • weigh, wrap/package, and label meat and seafood products
  • provide customer service at seafood counter
  • take special orders for custom cuts and holiday items
  • prepare, weigh, package, and label baked goods and deli products
  • take special orders for cakes and party trays
  • operate bakery equipment such as ovens and mixers
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store
  • sweep and mop various store areas
  • clean restrooms, break rooms, offices, and equipment
  • operate janitorial equipment if authorized
  • handle pharmacy register operations and maintain confidentiality
  • perform other duties as assigned
