Job Requirements
- Must have friendly and pleasant attitude towards guests and co-workers
- Must have a high level of knowledge for steps of beverage and food service
- Must be able to recite beverage and food menu specifications, grades, and preparations
- Must have a high level of knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and full restaurant food menu
- Must be able to recite vintages, regions, and multiple levels of liquor
- Must be able to carry large trays up to 35 lbs with one hand while carrying a tray jack
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops and total all other charges
- Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers
- Possess sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and/or bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
- Ability to remember, recite and promote a variety of beverage and food menu items
- Ability to learn Micros and perform point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time
- 1-2 years of bartending experience required
- Prior restaurant experience required
- Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
- Bartending certificate required
- TIPS certification preferred

Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet and open-taste
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote and document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practice prudent portion control
- Input orders at the point of sale and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all beverages served
- Maintain service area for dining room servers
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of bar and guest areas throughout shift
- Assist and/or provide beverage and food service to all guests in the bar area
- Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and insure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all monies
- Lock up and store all beverages, food, and other equipment items
- Deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by Manager to adhere to health standards
- Maintain cleanliness/par levels for all glassware
- Perform special guest requests
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed
- Assist security with disorderly guests
- Perform other duties as assigned per Manager
