Job Description

Azul Hospitality is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its portfolio of hotels and resorts. Known for its commitment to quality service and guest satisfaction, Azul Hospitality strives to maintain high standards in all aspects of its operations. With a focus on creating welcoming and memorable environments, the company invests in well-trained staff who uphold its core values of professionalism, integrity, and hospitality excellence. The hotels under Azul Hospitality provide a diverse range of services including accommodations, food and beverage options, event hosting, and recreational activities, catering to both leisure and business travelers. As a dynamic company in the hospitality industry, Azul Hospitality is recognized for fostering a supportive and motivating work culture that encourages growth and development among its employees.

The Bartender role at Azul Hospitality involves providing friendly, courteous, and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage services to all guests. This position is critical in maintaining the high standards expected at the hotel’s bar and dining outlets and requires a combination of technical bartending skills and outstanding customer service abilities. The bartender will be responsible for preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking orders, describing menu items, suggesting drinks to customers, and ensuring all service areas are clean and well stocked. The role demands physical stamina as bartenders are expected to work in various temperature conditions, stand for extended periods, and handle the physical demands of lifting and moving supplies. Additionally, bartenders must verify customer identification to comply with legal drinking age requirements and ensure responsible alcohol service.

In support of the bar operations, bartenders assist with inventory management including restocking supplies, conducting opening and closing inventories, and ensuring all alcoholic products are secured safely. They also assist in the preparation processes such as recipe batching, ice molding, and preparing garnishes. Maintaining cleanliness is a crucial part of the job, including cleaning glassware, bar counters, and ensuring that equipment like taps, coffee makers, and blenders are in proper working condition. The bartender may also act as a cashier, operate cash registers, and ensure accurate transaction management in accordance with company policies.

Working at Azul Hospitality as a bartender offers opportunities to develop specialized knowledge in spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles, backed by training and certification requirements such as Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers and California RBS Certification. The establishment values punctuality, grooming standards, and adherence to operational policies, making it an ideal workplace for individuals who are self-driven, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. This full-time role requires a candidate who can work independently and collaboratively within a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. This position comes with competitive benefits and is integral to enhancing the guest experience at Azul Hospitality venues.
