We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. This role plays a critical part in delivering outstanding food quality and presentation, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction at our full-service hotels. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and directing food preparation while adhering to established production procedures and maintaining compliance with sanitation, personal hygiene, and health standards. The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise, an eye for detail, and a strong sense of teamwork to ensure that every meal served meets our high quality and consistency standards.

In this position, you will plan food production to synchronize with meal serving times, ensuring that food is served at the optimal temperature, appearance, and taste. You will work closely with servers to address guest needs and resolve any complaints related to food service promptly. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen is essential to this role, including prepping food for future shifts and keeping equipment in excellent working order.

Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills to collaborate with a diverse team and should have the ability to prioritize tasks to meet operational demands. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required to support the dynamic needs of our hospitality business. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1-year experience cooking at a restaurant or full-service hotel
  • Culinary school 2-4 year degree preferred
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays depending on business needs

Job Duties

  • Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures
  • Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Prep all food for next shift and for the following day
  • Work with servers to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve complaints about food service as needed
  • Communicate effectively with diverse work staff
  • Prioritize tasks in the kitchen to ensure items are prepared on time and meet quality and consistency standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
