Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year prior monitor tech experience in a health care setting preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • current BLS certification
  • CPI required within 30 days of hire
  • ability to perform duties as outlined
  • strong communication skills
  • basic computer proficiency

  • proper telephone and interpersonal skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • medical terminology course preferred
  • basic dysrhythmia class preferred
  • computer education preferred
  • current BLS certification

Job Duties

  • Monitor all patients on telemetry
  • project a good public image
  • function as department receptionist by answering telephones and interacting with staff and physicians
  • maintain a courteous and professional attitude
  • ensure accurate and timely communication of patient information
  • support the health care team as directed
  • comply with hospital policies and procedures
