Job Requirements

  • less than high school education or one month related experience training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle
  • availability to work 2nd shift 3rd shift and weekends if required
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations
  • ability to add subtract multiply and divide two-digit numbers including use of American money units
  • neat and clean appearance with uniform at all times
  • ability to stand walk use hands occasionally sit climb balance and lift or move up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
  • count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed
  • write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies
  • patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts if applicable
  • provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle
  • be at work every scheduled day on time and in uniform
  • courteously assist customers by answering questions and directing to facility manager if necessary
  • control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
  • assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed
  • report accidents, observed or suspected violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the facility manager
  • communicate debris, water, oil spills to garage office
  • substitute for valets when necessary if authorized
  • have thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways
  • assist facility manager with other duties as needed
