The role of the Mixologist/Bartender at Applebee's - Yale is a dynamic and rewarding position perfect for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and skilled in beverage service. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of drinks such as mixed cocktails, wine, bottled beer, and draught beer, as well as managing orders and transactions accurately. Candidates will also be expected to maintain stocked bars, perform opening and closing duties, and assist with inventory and cleanliness to ensure the bar area is always well-equipped and inviting.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old
legal right to work in the United States
willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
ability to stand for extended periods
high school diploma or equivalent
ability to communicate clearly and effectively
prior experience in bartending or related field is preferred

Job Qualifications

Good communication skills
ability to handle multiple drink orders efficiently
knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques
responsible alcohol service
customer service experience is preferred
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
prior bartending experience is a plus

Job Duties

Receives drink orders from guests or servers
mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, wine, bottled beer, and draught beer
serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all laws and company alcohol service policies and procedures
enters drink and/or food orders into POS terminal and collects payment from guests
completes sales and inventory reports accurately
maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies
cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock
performs opening closing, and side work duties, as assigned
