It is a vibrant and dynamic establishment that combines the beauty of art with a unique guest experience, offering visitors an opportunity to engage with magnificent glass installations in a garden setting. Alongside the exhibit, the venue features food and beverage services designed to enhance the visitor experience, blending high-quality dining with the artistic atmosphere. Chihuly Garden and Glass emphasizes exceptional guest service, aiming to create memorable experiences through attentive and refined hospitality. They pride themselves on maintaining high standards in both food and beverage offerings and guest interaction, thereby ensuring visitors leave with lasting positive impressions.

The bartender role at Chihuly Garden and Glass is a full-time, hourly position offering $21.30 per hour plus tips. This position is integral to providing outstanding beverage service and requires a blend of expertise in mixology, guest service, and teamwork. As a bartender, you will be expected to exceed guests' expectations consistently by delivering exceptional food and beverage service that reflects the establishment's commitment to quality. Clear knowledge of the menu, including food, beverages, and specialized items such as garnishes, syrups, and tinctures, is essential. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of mobile bars and all associated back-of-house beverage storage areas, ensuring readiness before and during each shift.

Daily duties include engaging guests with a positive attitude, utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and ensuring all food and drinks are served with proper presentation and temperature. You'll participate actively in teamwork by assisting colleagues when possible and performing closing duties as directed. Maintaining high grooming and uniform standards is vital, as it represents the professional image of Chihuly Garden and Glass. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and physical stamina to stand, walk, reach, and lift throughout a typical 6 to 8-hour shift. Additionally, holding valid Washington State permits for alcohol service and food handling is mandatory. This position is designed for candidates with at least three years of bartending experience in high-volume, full-service settings.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is more than an art venue; it is a community hub that fosters a vibrant connection between art and people. Working here means being part of a team that values professionalism, positive attitude, and guest satisfaction. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage, as well as retirement benefits like a 401(k) plan with company matching and deferred retirement contributions. Additional perks include transportation assistance, paid holidays, sick leave, vacation accrual, tuition reimbursement, family leave, retail and food and beverage discounts, admission tickets, and charitable contribution matching. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a respected institution and grow your career in hospitality within a unique artistic environment.
