The Main Event location in Tomball, TX is currently seeking full-time and part-time Mixologists/Bartenders to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the establishment's reputation for outstanding guest service and creating a friendly, enjoyable environment for patrons. As a Mixologist/Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with professionalism and care. Your role will involve interacting with guests to ensure they receive excellent service, adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines, and supporting the bar's operations to maintain efficiency and cleanliness.

In this position, you will learn to manage multiple responsibilities including taking drink orders, mixing drinks according to specified recipes, handling transactions using a point-of-sale system, and maintaining bar inventory. You will play an integral part in upholding all safety and legal regulations related to alcohol service, including verifying guest identification. Additionally, your duties will extend to opening and closing duties and side work that helps sustain the overall flow and organization of the bar area.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
strong interpersonal skills
effective communication skills
ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
basic math skills for handling cash transactions

Job Qualifications

Previous bartending or mixology experience preferred
knowledge of drink recipes and beverage preparation
strong customer service and communication skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
capability to handle cash and operate POS systems
ability to maintain professionalism and responsible alcohol service
availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Receive drink orders from guests or servers
mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, wine, bottled beer, and draught beer
serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and request identification
adhere to all laws and company alcohol service policies and procedures
enter drink and/or food orders into POS terminal and collect payment from guests
complete sales and inventory reports accurately
maintain bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies
clean and store bar equipment and bar stock
perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
