The Mixing Operator role, classified under job grade NE07 and designated as nonexempt, is a vital position within the P-1/Continuous department. The Mixing Operator operates various machinery, executes start-up procedures, and carefully inspects components to maintain production quality. Accuracy in completing process documentation and adherence to company safety and environmental procedures are fundamental aspects of this role. The position requires the employee to perform multiple tasks from machine setup verification and product inspection to maintaining drying operations and participating in preventive maintenance activities.

This role demands a practical knowledge of manufacturing environments and a detail-oriented approach to managing production processes. The operator is responsible for checking the quality and quantity of ceramic parts through various stages, ensuring production efficiency, and complying with environmental and safety standards. Additionally, the Mixing Operator participates in activities such as PM (Preventive Maintenance), MMOL (Machine Maintenance Operator Leader), and G5S (Global 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), supporting ongoing improvement of manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates for this position will have completed a high school diploma or GED and possess at least six months of relevant manufacturing or warehousing experience. Effective communication skills and the ability to interpret work instructions, perform basic mathematical calculations, and apply problem-solving techniques are required. Candidates who have completed certifications such as CRC Bronze or Certified Production Technician programs, or who have basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, will find additional advantages in this role.

Working in a physically demanding industrial environment, the Mixing Operator will often operate near moving machinery, handle materials, work in varying conditions including heat and humidity, and must consistently follow strict safety protocols, including the use of safety shoes, goggles, and gloves as needed.
