The company values professional conduct, operational excellence, and adherence to all safety regulations, including federal, state, and local laws. Known for fostering a supportive and productive work environment, Lauren Concrete is focused on supporting its employees to deliver the best service possible while maintaining high standards in product handling and delivery.
The role in question is that of a Concrete Delivery Driver who plays a critical part in maintaining the company’s reputation by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of concrete to different job sites. This position is pivotal in upholding Lauren Concrete’s mission and core values, and it requires a candidate who can consistently demonstrate professionalism, positive attitude, and competence in all aspects of their work. The driver is responsible for operating their vehicle with care, conducting detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring that all operational procedures regarding the loading, transporting, and unloading of concrete are followed with precision.
The Concrete Delivery Driver must be thorough in their inspections, including cleaning and checking the vehicle’s exterior and interior, fluids, and documents such as the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. They are also responsible for confirming job site addresses, loading the concrete while managing slump, revolutions, chutes, and admixes, and using electronic logging devices for accurate records. The role also expects the driver to communicate effectively with the plant manager, report any maintenance needs, and uphold the highest safety protocols at all times. The company offers a work culture rooted in mutual respect, professionalism, and the pursuit of operational excellence, making it an ideal workplace for those who thrive in environments that prioritize both customer satisfaction and personal accountability in everyday operations.
This position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (minimum Class B), a strong safety record, and a minimum of one to three years of related experience, preferably in a similar role handling concrete deliveries. Candidates must be physically capable of meeting the job’s demands, including lifting heavy loads multiple times a day and climbing stairs up to 10 feet. A medical examiner’s card is also a requirement, alongside the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. The role demands individuals who can balance physical endurance with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to follow complex operational procedures to guarantee the quality and accurate delivery of concrete. Lauren Concrete supports its drivers not only with solid operational backing but also with an inclusive and professional work environment where positive work ethics and safety are paramount.
