The Mixer Operator role at SRM Concrete is pivotal in ensuring the successful production and delivery of concrete products. This position requires a highly engaged and motivated individual possessing an active CDL Class A or B license to operate concrete mixer trucks safely and efficiently. The Mixer Operator is responsible for precisely loading and mixing concrete by adhering to specific job orders and company protocols, which guarantees the quality and consistency of the final product.
Beyond technical skills, this role emphasizes exceptional customer service as operators interact professionally with clients and the public during deliveries. The position demands strong collaboration with the dispatch team to optimize scheduling and routing of deliveries, ensuring that clients receive their orders on time. - physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- ability to climb ladders and stairs
- capability to work in varying weather conditions
- no unexplained gaps in employment history
- willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background checks including Clearinghouse and MVR checks
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license
- current DOT medical card
- proven safe driving record
- physically able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in varying weather conditions
- no unexplained gaps in employment history
- strong teamwork, reliability, and adaptability
- previous experience as a Mixer Operator or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
- willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings
Job Duties
- Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver concrete products
- load and mix concrete ingredients by following specific job orders and company protocols
- ensure timely delivery of concrete products to construction sites, maintaining courteous and professional interaction with the customers and the public
- conduct pre-and post-operation checks on the mixer truck to ensure its proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs
- adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all team members and the public
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and other relevant documentation as required
- work closely with the dispatch team to ensure efficient scheduling and routing of deliveries
- assist in other duties as assigned, which may include general maintenance tasks or supporting other team members in the production process
