Job Description
Aphrodite is a distinguished manufacturer specializing in Place & Bake products, including gourmet frozen cookie dough, filled frozen dough cookies, Place and Bake Togas™, dessert bars, and Squeeze & Bake batter. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, Aphrodite also produces private label products for nationally recognized hotels, fine-dining restaurants, and caterers, establishing itself as a trusted partner within the food service industry. This company is committed to excellence in food production, offering a range of delicious baked goods that cater to both individual customers and large-scale hospitality clients.
Aphrodite is currently looking to expand its team by hiring an enthusiastic Mixer Operator for the second shift. This role is essential in the production process as the Mixer Operator is responsible for precisely following recipes and mixing dough according to strict formulas. The operator will inspect equipment, prepare ingredients using first-in-first-out inventory policy, weigh ingredients accurately using scales, and manually add components to the mixer, which requires moderate physical strength due to lifting and handling duties. Maintaining cleanliness of the equipment and work areas and adhering to safety standards throughout the shift are critical responsibilities for this position. The Mixer Operator also plays a key role in ensuring timely delivery of dough to the production line, thereby maintaining the efficiency and flow of the manufacturing process.
The position offers an hourly wage of $18 and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, providing a stable weekday routine. Employees will enjoy major holidays off and accrue paid time off after just 60 days of employment. The company further supports its workforce with valuable benefits such as company-paid life insurance/AD&D, short-term disability insurance, and a 401k plan with employer match. Compliance with federal employment regulations is mandatory, with employment eligibility verification through E-Verify and a requirement for all candidates to pass a drug test, ensuring a safe and reliable working environment.
The Mixer Operator role at Aphrodite is ideal for candidates who have basic literacy and arithmetic skills, a proactive attitude, and some experience working on production lines. Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions attentively are key to successful job performance. Additionally, bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are preferred and can enhance communication and teamwork within the company. Physical capability to lift up to 55 pounds is required due to the nature of the job duties. This opportunity provides a chance to work in a vibrant food manufacturing environment, contribute to a respected brand, and benefit from comprehensive workplace support and development.
