Job Description

The company hiring for the Mixing Machine Operator position is a well-established food production facility specializing in creating high-quality processed food products. This organization values precision, safety, and efficiency in its manufacturing processes, striving to deliver superior products that meet both regulatory and customer standards. As a full-time employer, the company offers a dynamic work environment where team collaboration and adherence to strict quality protocols are paramount. The facility is known for its commitment to employee development, providing training opportunities even to candidates who may not have extensive prior experience but show the right attitude and willingness to learn. This ensures a supportive atmosphere for professional growth and stability in the food manufacturing sector.

The role of the Mixing Machine Operator is crucial in the production line, responsible for using various specialized equipment to blend raw ingredients according to exact recipes and product specifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt third shift position that reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The shift runs from 7 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday, with an initial training period on the first shift from 5 AM to 3 PM. Compensation for this position is competitive, starting at $18 per hour with an additional $3 per hour shift differential, totaling $21 per hour. This role demands the operator’s careful attention to equipment maintenance, ingredient inspection, and quality control to ensure each batch meets company and regulatory standards.

The Mixing Machine Operator will be engaged in preparing ingredients, operating and monitoring machinery like mixers, mills, batch holding tanks, and pasteurization systems. This hands-on role involves starting and adjusting equipment settings such as valves and meters to control the addition of liquids, steam, and cooling fluids necessary for precise product blending. The operator must also conduct product inspections, testing, and measurement to verify that the final mixture aligns with the specifications. Problem-solving is a key aspect of this job, as the operator will need to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the mixing process. Communication skills are essential, as maintaining coordination with team members is vital to keep the production line running efficiently. Accurate record-keeping of mixing results, quality data, and lot numbers is a fundamental responsibility, aligned closely with adherence to company safety and quality policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining industry experience and developing technical skills in food production machinery under structured guidance and support.
