Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable food processing company that specializes in producing high-quality food products by blending various ingredients precisely according to established recipes. This organization is committed to maintaining strict adherence to quality control and safety standards to ensure the delivery of top-tier products to its customers. As a key player in the food production industry, the company operates with a strong emphasis on teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement to meet the demanding expectations of regulatory agencies and consumers alike. Their state-of-the-art facility utilizes advanced mixing and processing equipment, which allows the team to produce consistent and reliable products on a large scale.
This opportunity is for a full-time Mixing Machine Operator role, primarily working the 1st shift from Monday through Friday, 5 am to 3 pm. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The Mixing Machine Operator plays a vital role in the production process by utilizing various equipment to blend ingredients into food products while strictly following exact product specifications and standardized recipes. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to company, regulatory, and customer specifications to ensure product quality.
The Mixing Machine Operator is responsible for inspecting mixing equipment and ingredients, loading ingredients according to mix instructions, and operating the machinery that mixes, mills, pasteurizes, and transfers product batches. The role requires handling valves and meters to admit liquid ingredients, steam, or cooling fluids as needed to ensure optimal blending. Operators must skillfully operate auxiliary equipment involved in breaking up, grinding, and dry mixing the product as necessary. Monitoring the entire process ensures that mixtures achieve the desired consistency and quality standards throughout production.
The operator maintains continual communication with team members to keep the mixing station and production line running efficiently. This role demands the ability to quickly identify and report any errors or problems. Accurate record-keeping of lot numbers, time, mixing results, and quality specifications is critical to maintain traceability and compliance. Due to the physical nature of this role, the operator is expected to handle lifting up to 50 pounds consistently, including frequent bending, reaching, and standing. Although related mechanical experience is preferred, the company offers training to the right candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt. Flexibility in scheduling may be required occasionally to meet production demands.
Overall, this role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and are committed to producing food products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The role also offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.50 per hour, reflecting the importance and responsibility associated with operating critical machinery in the company's food production process.
