This position is for a Mixer on the 2nd shift, located at the manufacturing plant in Kent, Washington. The role involves tending to machines that mix ingredients such as salt, flour, eggs, and soda to produce batter according to specific formulas. The Mixer will be responsible for weighing and mixing ingredients, hand stirring the mix, recording important production data, and following instructions from supervisors and cooks. Emphasis is placed on adherence to safety protocols, food safety (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and sanitation standards. Employees will receive training on equipment cleaning, chemical handling, ladder safety, and water and drain management to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace environment. The role requires flexibility with working hours, with potential overtime to meet production deadlines and may include rotation to the position of Production Specialist. This hourly position offers a rate of $25.00 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift differential for the second shift and provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with machine and manufacturing experience to contribute effectively in a well-established company.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant machine and manufacturing experience
- Ability to work 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM shift
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to follow safety and food safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing and manual mixing
- Willingness to learn and be trained on cleaning, sanitizing and chemical handling procedures
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of machine and manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of sanitation and proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques
- Ability to follow plant work standards
- Ability to communicate line issues with peers, leadership and customers
- Ability to accept accountability and responsibility for work
- Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts, including occasional to frequent overtime
Job Duties
- Tend a machine that mixes ingredients such as salt, flour, eggs and soda to produce batter according to formula
- Weigh and mix ingredients in mixing tank
- Hand stir mix with 3' long spatula
- Record information about ingredients and timing
- Receive instructions from cook in person or on telephone regarding the mixes needed
- Record temperature of mixes
- Follow safety, food safety (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
