The role being offered is for a Mixer on the first shift at the Kent, Washington manufacturing plant. This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive rate of $25.00 per hour. Mixers work as part of a large production team of over 235 members dedicated to maintaining high standards in food production. The position involves operating and tending machines that mix ingredients like salt, flour, eggs, and soda to produce batter according to specific formulas. Responsibilities include weighing and mixing ingredients in tanks, hand stirring mixes, recording data about timing and temperature, and following food safety and quality standards such as SQF and GMP. Mixers receive instructions from supervisors and cooks, assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and production areas, and must be knowledgeable about equipment safety and sanitation protocols.

This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work within a team while maintaining high productivity standards. Candidates should have at least one year of machine operation and manufacturing experience and be flexible with working varying hours and overtime to meet production demands. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of machine and manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work onsite at Kent, Washington
  • Flexibility to work from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM shift including occasional to frequent overtime
  • Ability to follow safety and food safety protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • Willingness to rotate to Production Specialist position
  • Reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year machine and manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and good manufacturing practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime
  • Accountability and responsibility for work
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing techniques
  • Ability to follow established work and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Tend a machine that mixes ingredients such as salt, flour, eggs and soda to produce batter according to formula
  • Weigh and mix ingredients in mixing tank
  • Hand stir mix with a 3 foot long spatula
  • Record information about ingredients and timing
  • Receive instructions from cook in person or on telephone regarding the mixes needed
  • Record temperature of mixes
  • Follow safety, food safety (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to focus area
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Perform other production specific tasks
