Job Requirements

  • Ability to read English to comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations
  • Ability to supervise staff professionally ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Ability to handle customer complaints positively and effectively
  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years prior supervisory experience
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service including alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs continuously during shift
  • Adherence to state, federal, and corporate liquor laws
  • Cash handling and self-banking ability with accurate change counting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years prior supervisory experience in hospitality or food and beverage
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation including alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to supervise staff professionally
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform all dining room positions including server, expeditor/food runner, busser, and host, maintain a house bank
  • Supervise staff and dining room in manager's absence, assist with ongoing training to ensure standards are met
  • Interact positively with customers, promote hotel outlets, resolve problems amicably
  • Utilize POS system to charge customers accurately, track revenue, and ensure timely service
  • Input and retrieve data, change computer procedures with complex keypunches
  • Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image
  • Check and maintain proper setup and cleanliness of dining and back-of-house areas
  • Perform other duties as requested by special guest or general manager requests
