Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related discipline
1-2 years of experience in molecular biology or microbiology research
experience with DNA and RNA extraction from complex samples
hands-on PCR setup and troubleshooting expertise
ability to perform aseptic techniques
proficiency with lab equipment such as centrifuges and pipettes
strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills

Job Qualifications

B.S. degree in microbiology or related field
1-2 years of relevant microbiology or molecular biology experience
experience with molecular biology methodologies including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR
strong organizational and record-keeping skills
experience with aseptic techniques and general laboratory equipment
familiarity with quality assurance and control procedures
ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

Execute laboratory molecular biology experiments
perform DNA and RNA extractions from complex environmental samples
set up, analyze, and troubleshoot PCR reactions
operate general laboratory equipment such as balances, centrifuges, pipettes, and mixers
maintain sterility and aseptic technique during experiments
conduct quality control and assurance activities including controls and documentation
maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and lab notebooks
