Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent certification through the American Culinary Federation acceptable
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible food service experience
  • At least three years of management experience
  • At least two years as a cook or chef
  • ServeSafe Manager Certification or another ANSI-approved manager certification required within six months of hire and must remain active
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel, and communicate verbally regularly
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to move around workspace to access surfaces, storage areas, and equipment located at various heights

Job Duties

  • Manages daily activities of staff involved in food preparation and service
  • Supports and coordinates catering functions as needed
  • Identifies training needs and provides retraining when necessary
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Plans menus using data, customer feedback, and industry trends
  • Monitors food quality and presentation to maintain departmental culinary standards
  • Assists the Executive Chef with food service operations
