Job Requirements

  • Preferred diploma of secondary education (high school)
  • Preferred prior experience in banquets, catering, food service or hospitality
  • Meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol according to local and state regulations
  • Maintain valid TIPS, TEAM or equivalent certification for alcohol service
  • Comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • Food handler certification may be required depending on local or state regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in banquets, catering, food service or hospitality preferred
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol according to local and state regulations
  • Maintain valid TIPS, TEAM or equivalent certification for serving alcoholic beverages
  • Compliance with state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • Food handler certification may be required depending on local or state regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide food and beverage services to guests at banquet events including meetings, receptions, lunches, dinners and special functions
  • Support various service styles including casual buffets, formal plated meals and tray-passed appetizers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations and work areas during events
  • Clear tables, rearrange cutlery and assist in maintaining presentation standards
  • Lift and move items frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Arrive on time and present for scheduled shifts with dependability
  • Perform other assigned tasks which may vary depending on the event and client needs
