Retail Merchandising Services, Inc. RMS is currently seeking a Part-Time Retail Merchandising Representative to join their team. This unique role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for retail but prefer a flexible work arrangement. As a Merchandising Representative, you will be responsible for servicing retail stores within a 15-mile radius of your home, attending to the needs of the stores on a weekly, bi-weekly, or one-time basis depending on scheduling and demand. The position averages between 3 to 8 hours per week but varies seasonally, offering a dynamic and adaptable workload.
Compensation starts at $13.25 per hour during both in-store and online training. Additionally, employees who train or work temporarily in stores outside their regular assigned locations may receive mileage reimbursement at $0.45 per mile and/or drive time paid at $10 per hour or the applicable minimum wage in their area, whichever is higher. In this role, Merchandising Representatives engage directly with retail store personnel to complete a variety of merchandising activities, including stocking and organizing products on the sales floor, conducting audits to ensure correct product placement, placing product signage, collecting data, setting up displays, and maintaining planograms. Representatives are expected to utilize RMS's proprietary Web Portal and Mobile App for reporting all completed projects, uploading photos, and managing communications efficiently.
The role demands physical activity such as lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods, as well as the need for clear visual acuity and manual dexterity. Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial, as representatives must self-manage their workflow and schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism and cooperative relationships with store personnel and RMS colleagues.
